The following journals/magazines related to sociology can be found in print format at the Bradner Library.

  • American Sociological Review - "American Sociological Review (ASR) is the American Sociological Association’s flagship journal. The ASA founded this journal in 1936 with the mission to publish original works of interest to the discipline of sociology in general, new theoretical developments, results of research that advance understanding of fundamental social processes, and important methodological innovations."
  • The Humanist - "The Humanist magazine applies humanism—a rational philosophy without theism or other supernatural beliefs that is informed by science, guided by reason, inspired by art, and motivated by compassion—to broad areas of social, political, and personal concern."
  • Social Problems - "Social Problems, the official publication of The Society for the Study of Social Problems, is a quarterly journal that covers an extensive array of complex social concerns from race and gender to labor relations to environmental issues and human rights, it has been an important forum for sociological thought for over six decades."
  • The Social Studies - "The Social Studies is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles of interest to educators at all levels. Suitable topics include those concerned with the social studies, the social sciences, history, and interdisciplinary studies."
