Voting Basics

Michigan residents who will be 18 at the time of an election may vote. You must have been a resident for a minimum of 30 days and you must register before you can vote. There are two ways to vote: absentee (send your ballot in by U.S. mail or drop off at your city's government office) or in-person at your local polling place.
